Procedure

Review procedure

The following rules have been established in the publication “Good practices in reviewing procedures in science” in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education

  1. At least two independent reviewers shall be appointed to evaluate each publication.
  2. The author(s) and reviewers do not know their identities ("double-blind review process").
  3. Guidelines for reviewing manuscripts.

In addition to the most important substantive remarks addressed to the Author(s), the article is classified into the appropriate group as:

  1. a negative review: the manuscript is unsuitable for publication in a journal;
  2. a conditional negative review: the manuscript may be published in the journal after thorough changes;
  3. a conditional positive review: the manuscript is suitable for publication in the journal after minor changes;
  4. positive review: the article is suitable for publication in a journal.

When receiving two distinct reviews, one of which is positive without any reservations and the other is a negative one, the Editor-in-Chief decides whether the manuscript is referred to the third external reviewer (so-called conclusive review).
