Streszczenie

Terapia zajęciowa skupia się głownie na diagnostyce funkcjonalnej, odnoszącej się

do aktywności życia codziennego (activities of daily life – ADL) i w związku z tym proponuje

interwencje terapii zajęciowej, w tym stosowanie urządzeń wspomagających oraz

ocenę pomieszczeń mieszkalnych z propozycjami urządzeń ułatwiających. Kolejnym

celem terapii zajęciowej jest skoncentrowanie się na funkcjonalnych możliwościach

kończyn gornych, zwłaszcza funkcjach ręki, co jest związane z funkcjami poznawczymi.

Terapeuci zajęciowi przeprowadzają poznawcze szkolenie behawioralne pod nadzorem

psychologa klinicznego, skupiając się rownież na rehabilitacji przedzawodowej

w celu osiągnięcia optymalnej jakości życia osoby niepełnosprawnej.

Według statystyk opublikowanych przez COTEC (Council of Occupational Therapists

for the European Countries, Rada Terapii Zajęciowej Krajow Europejskich, 2013 r.)

w 26. krajach europejskich i poza Unią Europejską dostępnych jest w sumie 290 programow

studiow w zakresie terapii zajęciowej, zatwierdzonych przez Światową Federację

Terapeutow Zajęciowych (World Federation of Occupational Therapists, WFOT)

i innych 93 nie zatwierdzonych przez WFOT. Większość szkoł znajduje się w Niemczech

i Wielkiej Brytanii. Ponieważ w poszczegolnych krajach europejskich istnieją

rożne systemy szkolnictwa to programy szkoleniowe rownież w niektorych aspektach

się rożnią. Programy studiow oferowane są przez instytucje szkolnictwa wyższego,

uniwersytety, szkoły politechniczne i zawodowe.

W Republice Czeskiej terapeuci zajęciowi kształcą się w trybie trzyletnich studiow

licencjackich, a program studiow magisterskich dostępny będzie we wrześniu

2014 r. Studia licencjackie są dostępne w Czechach od 1992 r. Aktualnie cztery uczelnie

w Czechach oferują edukację w zakresie nauk o zdrowiu ze stopniem licencjata

z terapii zajęciowej. Dziedzinę tę można studiować na Uniwersytecie Karola w Pradze,

na Wydziale Nauk o Zdrowiu na Uniwersytecie Czech Zachodnich w Pilznie,

na I Wydziale Lekarskim Medycyny na Uniwersytecie w Ostrawie i na Wydziale Nauk

o Zdrowiu na Uniwersytecie Jana Evangelisty Purkyniego w Usti nad Łabą. Programy

te obejmują naukę w pełnym wymiarze godzin w większości uniwersytetow

a na Wydziale Nauk o Zdrowiu Uniwersytetu Jana Ewangelisty Purkyniego w Usti

nad Łabą jest rownież możliwość kształcenia na odległość (e-learning).

Abstract:

Occupational therapy is a healthcare field that focuses mainly on functional diagnostics

regarding the activities of daily life (ADL), and, to this end, proposes occupational

therapy interventions, including the prescription of assistive devices and the

evaluation of living spaces with proposals for facilitation devices. Another objective of

occupational therapy is a focus on the functional abilities of the upper extremities, especially

the function of the hand, which is linked to cognitive functions. Occupational

therapists perform cognitive behavioural training under the supervision of a clinical

psychologist, and they also focus on prevocational rehabilitation in order to achieve

the optimal quality of life for a person with a disability.

According to statistics published by COTEC (Council of Occupational Therapists for

the European Countries, 2013), a total of 290 study programs approved by the World

Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) and another 93 not approved by WFOT

are available in the field of occupational therapy in 26 European countries and outside

the European Union. Most schools are located in Germany and Great Britain. Since the

individual European countries use different school systems, these study programmes

also differ in some aspects. The study programmes are offered at higher education institutions,

universities, polytechnic schools and professional colleges.

In the Czech Republic, occupational therapists get their education in the three-year

bachelor’s programme, and a new master’s degree program will be offered in September

2014. The bachelor’s study has been available in the Czech Republic since 1992. At

present, a total of four universities in the Czech Republic offer education for healthcare

specialization with a bachelor’s degree course in occupational therapy. This field can be

studied at the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague, the Faculty

of Health Studies at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, the Faculty of Medicine

at the University of Ostrava and the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Jan

Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem. The programmes involve full-time study at

most of the schools, while at the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Jan Evangelista

Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem it is also available as a distance-learning programme.
